G.U.S is a Norwegian rock band formerly known as Gus and His Freaky Friends. The band was founded in the summer of 2007 by Gus (vocals, guitar) and John E. (guitars), as a direct consequence of the global frustration spread among artists of various kinds by record companies and media corporations with only one purpose in mind: Easy money. In the fall of 2008 the band made a recording of one of their many concerts at The Old Sportsman in Sandefjord. A recording later to become, alongside four studio tracks, their very first album/demo, titled Band on the Run, released in May 2009. G.U.S has played a high number of concerts on various locations in Norway since the start in 2007, with the warm up job for Samantha Fox at the Fahrenheit Festival 2008 as one of many highlights. By January 2010 the band is back in studio to record their first complete studio album with the working title Save Yourself, an album expected to be finished within the year.
